Does anyone know if there are import taxes if I have my computer mailed to me from Canada?

It depends on the stated value of the package. Anything that has a stated value of NT$6,000 or over is subject to tax.

Then Some Time Passed...answered about 42 months ago by Flash
I had a computer shipped over with insurance put on it in case anything happened. It ended up being a huge hassle. I had to pay about NT$8000 in tax. You can probably get around it if you don't mind taking the risk of your shipment getting damaged.
