Reading the above reviews I can hardly imagine that we went to the same place or it is being run by the same people!? Has it changed management? I went there last Saturday with a party of 10. We arrived at 7:00 and gave our orders between 7:15~7:30. I was looking forward to the "all you can eat Saturday night pasta" I was told it was not on that night. I and my friend ordered fish and chips and friends around me ordered the sirloin steak, putain, sandwiches etc. We waited for more than one hour for the food to arrive and it camein dribs and drabs,two people ate 1st and completely finished before the next dishes arrived, a sandwich arrived that was hard and looked like it had been sat in on/under a grill that was switched off and dried it out. Another couple of steaks arrived but the steaks were cold. Maybe 15 mins later the fish and chips arrived they were burnt and dark shade of brown. (oil way too hot) Fish was OK. The Poutain never arrived and my friends cancelled the order and did not eat. The Calamansi appetiser never arrived, no explanation offered. Deserts slowly arrived but they were the wrong ones but we accepted them worried if we turned them back it would beanother 15 mins wait. While we waited and debated complaining or asking if they needed help in the kitchen a table behind us who came in and ordered well after us were served well before we were. My friends were all very pissed off and what made matters worse was no attempt at an apology was made by the girls behind the bar. Oh and my beer took 25 mins to arrive, I think they were having problems with the keg but no one told me that. Actually I like the space there, it is a nice bar but I do not think I will ever go there again for food. Has Ryan and all the other guys left the country? Maybe they were just all at home for summer?

Foster Hewitt's is the place that you'd take out of towner's, friends & family for a great time.

The quality is always tiptop, the variety is great, service is prompt and efficient, and the ambiance is outstanding, excellent music,and always sports to watch.

Ah with a good selection of beer, wine, & liquor.

A friendly place to go that makes you feel right at home. Some tasty grub at awesome prices. Wing night, (need I say more.)

Ryan is the best and works really hard to make sure no one feels home sick. He supports baseball teams, local events and charities. What a cool guy to have in town doing this. He's also aware that the Chicago Blackhawks are the best team in NHL history and the leafs can't even beat the Tim Bits.

a fair mini-representation of a toronto bar...nothing special food or drink wise, but the atmospehere is decent and the owners have worked hard to establish a little piece of backhome here in ktown

Been there twice and I love it. I can't get enough of that garlicy white dip stuff they got there. I think I need to go back soon!
