This place is delicious, and has the best gong-bao chicken I've ever tasted. We have taken friends in Taiwan and family visiting to this restaurant, and they are impressed every time (and so am I). I highly recommend it.

You won't find any frills or gimmicks at this basic eatery... just tasty food, big portions, and good service... a great place to take a group of friends to sample a variety of dishes...

Sorry but I have to disagree with the above reviews. I have known this restaurant for 20 odd years at one time it was one of the best small family run Sichuan restaurants in town. A few years back the wife of the owner died and they sold it to the current owners. The current owners are great people very friendly. The food portions are huge [I was giving the sweet and sour pork to my dogs under the table] and very good value for money but the food? Sorry to say not very good. The sweet and sour pork was aweful just fried pork with a sauce thrown in and stirred around, vegge dishes were oily with msg, the dried red pepper chicken and peanuts oily and too salty. My Chinese GF made faces the whole time she was in there and asked me what I thought was good about the food. I will not go back again.

I love Chinese food.
They have the best sweet sour pork here. I think they cook it with honey. The meat balls are another reason I go. Although there is not fancy decoration inside but the food there will let you ignore that.

This restaurant has got some of the best Chinese food in Kaohsiung. Whenever I am craving some sweet and sour chicken this is where I go.

They've got a huge menu (in English) and the boss speaks really good English as well.

The decor could use some work, but they more than make up for it with the food.
