I have to say the first time i saw this place it wasn't bad. Decent looking and you would think it would be a nice bar when you first look at it, but no its below average. The only reason why people would go here is because there ain't alot of places to go in kaoshuing, plain and simple. But anyways I didn't just go to this place once and then think it was bad I gave it a few tries, Just got worse and worse, The staff is one of the worst I've seen, some of the food was pretty OK but have tasted better elsewhere. In short I felt like i was eating at a prison facility and the staff were the guards. I also had a problem with one of the dishes there and I'll admit they didn't really give me problems, but they should have really taken care of that in the first place, when you have people eating food you should really watch what goes in it. But that was about the last straw for me. I have found other places to go to eat and to really relax. I guess you can say the service was the worst but the food was OK. But just felt very awful there. So I wont be going back anytime. I really DON'T recommend it.

Been there twice now. Pretty good Chinese food, great single malt selection and cigar prices rival online warehouse prices.
While the food is good I think the wait / staff is rude. Our waiter hovered over our table and watched us foreigners eat. Change the staff and it would be one of my regular spots.

A friend of mine took me to eat and drink here after within just a few days of arriving to Kaohsiung. Not much has changed here since and it is easy to say that this place is well on its way to becoming a mainstay for the city's nightlife. They love there whisky here and booz (namely whisky) paraphernalia is plastered all over the place. The food is good, with lots of appetizer style things to nibble on while you carry the night through drinking, talking and listening to whatever music they may be playing overhead and often loud. Head upstairs for a change of scenery.

The deep fried tofu is the best in Kaohsiung. Some other foods there are quite good. And they sometimes have some really new movies on TV. I really enjoy having my food with my friends there. Just one thing i really don't like is there crappy service.
Their waiters and waitresses can be really rude.

This is probably one of the best Chinese bars in Kaohsiung. It is a whisky bar and Johnson, the owner, has one of the best selections of single malt whisky you will find in Kaohsiung. You can order singles or doubles or buy the bottle and keep it behind the bar with your name on it. It also has great Chinese food and excellent value for money gin/vodka tonics [they come in a pint glass] and it is strong! Watch out if you are driving just one of his drinks will put you over the limit. Very little English spoken by any of the staff so you had better speak a little Chinese. It is a late night joint, open till 4 or 5 in the morning and is often packed to the gills from 9pm till 3 or 4am.
