Decent fast food hamburgers in a non-clinical setting*.

*Prior this BK's current location there was a BK inside the Veterans Hospital in Zuo-Ying. Yeah... as if people, especially Taiwanese, will trek into a hospital to get their greasy hamburgers and french fries. Well if nothing else you were close to emergency care!

That of course, was a failed experiment and the location closed. Personally lamented as to how Tainan has 3 BK's while (at the time) K-town had none.

The new location is easily found on Yu-Cheng Road and overall the staff is fine. I've only had one incident similar to what g-man stated, my wife wanted her drink to be half tea half 7-up, after some debating and of course letting them know that BK is "have it your way" they gave the appropriate drink.

I wouldn't recommend you drive a car (if you have one) there as the only car parking is street parking and generally hard to find. Otherwise scooters/motorcycles can park in front. And yet another option is to take the red line and get off at the big egg/new Hanshin stop, just make sure you get out at the right exit to avoid an even further walk.

Ok, this place p*ssed me off big time. Woke up early and traveled from Fongshan by MRT to get there for breakfast. (Haven't had a crossanwich in years) They didn't have the sausage paired with a croissant, so I asked to change it for me. Woh....here comes trouble. I (or my wife rather) gets bombarded with "Bu Xin" after "Bu Xin" We kindly point to the giant sign that says "Have it your way" along with Burger King's decree that they will change anything to the way you want it. She happily smiles and says "bu xin". After a bunch of complaining and arguing, she said it's OK to 'have it your way' at the Taoyuan Airport location. Wow....I've no idea what to say. We left without ordering. We called the main office. Took a couple days to get them to answer. To their credit, they were very professional and made us feel better. And of course apologized a lot. They said they would train their staff better and it wouldn't happen again. Apparently they've changed the menu to include that sandwich, but I don't know.

We went to Mcdonalds after that and I purposely asked to make my sandwich different than what was on the menu. They did it without question. *L*

BTW, don't eat fast food. The junk is terrible! But good. mmmmm

Jusy had lunch there. Whoppers are as good as in the states. Nice people/staff too. Sorry honey I really thought there was no Burger King in Kaohsiung when you came for visit.

It seems rather pointless to comment on the food coming from a major burger coorporation like Burger King. You know that any franchise has to follow the rules set out by the company and those rules and guidelines are followed flawlessly according to a strict and binding contract. Of note; there was a recent documentary movie which took the flagship burgers from both Mcdonald's and Burger King to poor and undeveloped countries of the world for taste testing - would you believe it? According to the results, Burger King's were the favorite. Anyway, if anything the location is handy but busy and you have to climb upstairs for any reliable seating.

If you need a burger in the daytime and can't stand eating another McD's, then this is the best alternative in Kaohsiung
