Years ago, a large but fragmented group of English teachers could be found here on Typhoon holidays. Typhoon holidays are officially declared by the government and weather department here so that the publics' safety is insured by staying home. So when you're supposed to stay home in relative security, teachers on masse would venture out to this local bowling alley and spend a half-drunk day on the lanes - nice. The hours here are incredible, something like 24 hours a day and of course the place is 'drunk friendly'. I've been here late in the night after the pub and was made to rent bowling shoes - you must rent shoes here, no going without. Be prepared to play ten pin too (three fingers in a large ball you would never dare try to sneak home with). But there is beer and other drinks and snacks for sale, so have a good time.
